Mrs. Squicciarini

?HOMEWORK: Isaac Newton Multimedia Project due: Thursday, January 2nd, 2014.

Mrs. Squicciarini’s Classroom Procedures

1. Be Prepared – Please bring to class each day a pen, pencil, highlighter, binder with loose leaf paper, five tab insertable binder dividers,  binder sheet protectors, assignment pad, and a free read book.

2. Each child will be given a username and password to access the science textbook online at: my.hrw.com.

a) Go to the website my.hrw.com
b) Enter your username and password you were given in class.
d) Our book we will be using in the beginning of the year is: Short Course K Introduction to Matter

3. Hand in all assignments when they are due. If assignments are frequently turned in late or missing, I will contact the parents/guardians to advise them of my concerns. In the event of an absence, the student will need to personally contact me at a convenient time upon return to school to receive make-up work.

4. My grading policy requires that all work be completed by the due date in order to receive full credit. (Of course, if a student has an excused absence, the school’s policy is followed.) For assignments that are handed in late, students will receive 80% of the assignment's final grade.

5. Finally, in order to encourage communication between parents, students, and myself, I have created a class website that contains a great deal of information relating to my science and health classes. The address for this website is http://squicciarinia.educatorpages.com.  I will make every attempt to keep this site updated with weekly assignments and other important information relating to our class.

I welcome and encourage open communication amongst the parent, student and teacher. Please don’t hesitate to call me at 973-256-1033, ext. 1208 should you have any questions or concerns relating to your child or my class. You can also email me at squicciarini@lfschools.org if this is more convenient.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Amy Squicciarini
